My goal is for you to be able to not only see yourself, but experience what it is like to be able to sit down, hum a song, hear a song on a recording, and be able to put it together in a matter of minutes. Let me tell you first-hand, that there is almost nothing in the world that feels this great. Enough talk. Let me show you first hand what I am talking about. Think about this. When you build a house, you have to start from the ground up to make sure that you have a solidly built house. Otherwise, If you build a house from the roof down, it will collapse. The same is true in music. Many musicians, have learned to play really cool sounding chords and tunes, but they have not built a very solid foundation. Music consists of basically three things - Melody, Harmony (chords) and Rhythm. Rhythm is important, but let's focus on Melody and Chords. The foundation in music lies in the Major scale. That is, Melody and Chords in general are based on the Major Scale. What is a scale? Think of your child-hood days when you were in school. Your teacher went to the piano, hit the note C and said this is "Do". As the teacher played the notes, you sang "Do - Re - Mi - Fa - So - La - Ti - Do". This is a Major scale. As you can see, when you play this Major scale starting on the note C, you have all white keys.
What you probably didn't know is that each of the notes in a Major scale has a number assigned to it.
Notice how the critical numbers are 1 - 7. These numbers can apply to single notes (melody) or chords (harmony). For example, if you want to form a C chord, you can play the numbers 1, 3, 5 at the same time.
Since a C chord is formed by playing 1, 3, and 5, it is called a Major chord. So, the proper name would be a C Major chord. But, it is usually just called a C chord. Do you see how easy that was? "The Concept of Playing By Numbers is very easy to learn and understand." As a matter of fact, there are actually 12 keys in music. That is, there are 12 individual notes that you can start on that have their own "Do - Re - Mi - Fa - So - La - Ti - Do", and form their own set of chords. You will learn all 12 keys in my program. Not only that, you will understand how everything works. Imagine the possibilities you will have with this information. You will be able to do things that you never thought would be possible. To give you a further example, consider that the C chord is a very simple and basic chord. You can also use the numbers 1 - 7 to form more advanced chords. Here is a list of some of the more advanced chords, along with their numbers that you can form.
Don't worry if you are not familiar with these symbols. Everything is explained in my course. "It Really Is This Simple". I will explain everything to you in detail in the program. What about learning and playing melodies? Does the number system apply to melodies also, or just chords? "The number system applies to melodies as well as chords". The best part about this is that it is just as easy, if not easier than learning the chords. Can you see where I am going with this? Can you see yourself being able to do things you thought you would never be able to do? Let's apply the number system to a simple melody such as Jingle Bells. All you have to do is play the numbers on the scale, and instantly you have a song.
See how easy this is? "When It's Easy, It's Fun!" Here's another example using the song "When The Saints Go Marching In".
Learning and playing by numbers is easy and fun! Wait, If you are a beginner or intermediate, you may be thinking, "Is It Really This Easy?" Yes, it is. But only if it is presented in a manner that is easy. Best Yet, The Number System applies to all twelve keys in music. Once you learn a song in one key, you will be able to play it in any key using the numbers. If you are a more advanced player, then you probably know this information. Let me give you one more example of how powerful the 7 numbers can be. Did you know there are 3 chords that are played in almost every song you can think of? As a matter of fact, many tunes consist of only these 3 chords. You may have heard people mentioning the I (one), IV (four), and V (five) chords. Well, as you may have guessed, these chords are formed by starting on the first note of the scale, the fourth note of the scale, and the fifth note of the scale. If we go back to our key of C example, the I chord would be the C chord, the IV chord would be the F chords since it is the fourth note of the C scale, and the V chord would be the G chord since it starts on the fifth note of the C scale. Once you become familiar with these 3 chords in all 12 keys, there will be no limit as to the number of tunes you will be able to play. I will teach you how to do this in my program. You will learn by examples how to apply these 3 chords to different types of songs. When you see these chords in action, I'm sure many new ideas will pop into your brain.
